Written by Spanish writer Pedro Antonio de Alarcon (1833-1891), the story “The stub-Book” deals with the dedicated and hardworking farmers of Rota. Though the story has a simple plot and theme but the subject it conveys is unpredictable. As the story falls under the category of critical and creative thinking we really need to think out of the box to properly analyze the whole story. Initially, writer has presented the historical and architectural significance of the place while later on the writer turns his focus to the main character of the story, Uncle Buscabeatas. Here the writers technique of writing has lost the track and completely defocused what’s important resulting in shrinking of description of the main essence of the story. The author here presents the descriptive method of writing in such a way that a pictur

Write a paragraph, showing your understanding of Toulmin's model of argument.    à Developed by English philosopher Stephen Toulmin, Toulmin’s Model is a format of constructing or analyzing a persuasive argument that breaks arguments down into six essential parts which all interact and depend on each other to form a complete argument. First the claim is the assertion or thesis of the statement. It is what you're trying to convince your audience to think or agree with. Second, the ground is the evidence or information that you use to support and explain your claim. The ground tells us why the claim is valid. Third is the warrant , which is one of the most important contributions of Toulmin’s scheme to our conception of argumentation. The warrant helps us draw connections between the claim and the evidence. The warrant identifies assumptions that not everyone may share and that often go unspoken in arguments. Similar to the evidence, the backing provides support for the war

About Myself

It took me ten minutes of stare just to start writing this. I went through few flashbacks to be able to answer a very philosophical question- What defines you? I think the flashbacks will give me some idea of what kind of person I am. Falgun 26, 2075 , the day when my first ever trek to Gosainkunda started. I had no idea how nostalgic this trip would be. The night talks with my small group of close friends, the humorous atmosphere everyone had. Waking up with a new destination everyday and surrounding yourself with only what nature has to offer made all the emotions flutter out. When I was lost there with no assignments and study pressure, nothing to do but just to explore the new destination everyday. I never knew isolation from the world outside would make me this light like I was naturally high. Now, I sometimes strive for isolated moments. Chaitra 6, 2076 , my 18th birthday. On this day, I was free of many governmental restrictions. So I decided to do something good about it- visit
